On June 25th, YG Entertainment announced their official stance on the rumor of a meeting between 2NE1 and YG’s executive producer Yang Hyun-suk, saying “There is nothing that we can confirm at this time because it is not an official meeting”.
Earlier, OSEN reported that four members of 2NE1 and producer Yang Hyun-suk would meet in a few days to discuss the group’s comeback project.

According to insiders from the K-pop industry, 2NE1’s leader CL and Yang Hyun-suk recently had a dinner together. Responding to the news on May 17th via Newsen, YG said they could not confirm details because it was not an official meeting on behalf of the company.
2NE1 recently celebrated their 15th debut anniversary on May 17th. As CL posted a group photo with members Sandara Park, Park Bom and Minzy, on the special day, fans also raised expectations for the group reunion and comeback. Two years after their appearance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2022 as a full team, this is the second time they took a group photo.
Making their debut under YG Entertainment, 2NE1 became one of the representative K-pop idol groups after releasing hit songs such as “Fire”, “I Don’t Care”, “Try to Follow Me”, “Clap Your Hands”, “It Hurts”, “You And I”, “Lonely”, “Comeback Back Home”, “I Am The Best”, “Missing You”, “Gotta Be You”, etc. After the group disbanded in November 2016, the members sequentially left YG and moved to different agencies.
