Earlier this year, 3rd gen K-pop boy group OnlyOneOf went on their 2024 world tour with various destinations across the world, and so far have completed stops in East Asia, Latin America, and North America.
During the American leg of the tour, certain fans are able to take one-on-one photos with their favorite OnlyOneOf member, leading to a rather awkward situation.
In particular, according to member Rie, South American fans were passionate and very touchy. He also mentioned that many asked if they could hug him after the photos, and at least 3 fans even kissed him on the cheeks without consent before running off.
“I wasn’t the one who kissed them, they kissed me and then ran away. It’d be worrying if I kissed them”, the male idol said on the fan communication platform Bubble, adding, “Honestly, if they asked me for a kiss first, I would have said no”.
Rie also added that he laughed it off, but a lot of fans have since expressed their concerns.
Particularly, many were upset that the organizer of the tour was “strict in unnecessary ways” yet “lenient” when it comes to protecting the artists, to the point some were able to force-kiss Rie. Others also stated that the fans that basically forced themselves on Rie needs to be blacklisted for future events.
