9 idols who boldly gave up taking CSAT this year

The 2024 College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT), also known as the university entrance exam, took place on Nov 16th

Even idol singers who are actively promoting took the exam with nervousness, similar to any other CSAT taker on that day.

On the other hand, there are idol members who chose to give up this year’s CSAT and focus on their main profession instead of entering university. Let’s take a look at some idols who boldly gave up taking the CSAT this year to concentrate on their entertainment careers.

1. NMIXX Jiwoo

NMIXX Jiwoo, who is currently attending Hanlim Arts High School, decided not to take the CSAT this year to focus on her activities. NMIXX members Sullyoon and Bae also did not take the CSAT last year, choosing their main profession. NMIXX gained great popularity shortly after their debut in February last year. They released their third single album “A Midsummer NMIXX’s Dream” last July and are currently highly active.

2. TREASURE So Junghwan

So Junghwan, a member of YG Entertainment’s idol group TREASURE, gave up taking the CSAT this year. After graduating from School of Performing Arts Seoul’s Department of Practical Dance, he plans to focus on his idol activities for the time being. He is currently preparing for TREASURE’s concert “2023 TREASURE CONCERT [REBOOT] IN SEOUL”, which will be held in December.

3. Billlie Siyoon

Siyoon, who debuted as a member of girl group Billlie in November 2021, has been concentrating on her entertainment career since graduating from middle school. Born in 2005, she could have taken the CSAT this year but decided to postpone university entrance for her idol activities. Billlie recently released their first single album “side-B: memoirs of echo unseen” and has begun active promotions.

4. Xikers Junghoon, Seeun, Yujun, Hunter, Yechan

Xikers Junghoon, Seeun, Yujun, Hunter, Yechan

The youngest members of the multinational boy group Xikers, Junghoon, Seeun, Yujun, Hunter and Yechan (all born in 2005) gave up taking the CSAT this year. Xikers, which debuted in March this year, successfully concluded a world tour, visiting major cities such as New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

Haneul of the rookie girl group Kiss of Life, which debuted in July this year, announced her intention not to take the CSAT for the sake of her idol activities. Kiss of Life has gained attention as a talented rookie idol group, winning the “Best Rookie” female category on the “KM Chart” Season Best (3rd quarter) chart organized by the Korea Management Federation.
