BTS members RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook are actively preparing for their military enlistment, expressing a passionate commitment to leave meaningful content for fans
During a recent live broadcast on Weverse, they shared their thoughts on the upcoming enlistment. Jungkook expressed that the decision was made with a strong desire to be active as a whole and considered it a regret-free and refreshing choice. Jimin mentioned feeling sad but emphasized the anticipation of meeting ARMY again after completing their service. V highlighted the importance of temporarily parting ways to appreciate the precious moments when they reunite.
The members, while talking about their enlistment, revealed various activities planned to fill their militatus (military + hiatus) with meaningful content. They assured fans that they prepared many things and encouraged fans to enjoy them. V specifically noted the dedication of the members in thinking about ARMY, even during a time when they might want to rest before enlistment.
The specific enlistment dates and locations were not disclosed in the announcement by Big Hit Music. However, RM and V are known to enter the Nonsan Training Center on Dec 11th, while Jungkook will join Jimin at the 5th Infantry Division’s recruit training center, where Jin is currently serving as an assistant instructor. Notably, V applied for a position in the Special Duty Team of the Army Capital Defense Command, surprising many fans.
The members also requested fans to refrain from visiting on their enlistment days due to the presence of other recruits and their families. They acknowledged the potential inconvenience and emphasized fans’ role as the face of BTS.
The members shared insights into the reality faced by young individuals entering the military. V expressed his desire to return with robust physical and mental strength, regardless of challenges. Jimin reflected on his solo activities, expressing excitement about the potential synergy in group activities in the future.
Jin, the first member to enlist, surprised fans with the news of his unexpected early military promotion on Dec 4th, his birthday. He conveyed gratitude, shared his thoughts on the passing year in the military and expressed anticipation for the remaining time.
As BTS enters a militatus, fans can look forward to the group’s return in 2025, enriched by the passion and dedication of the members. The hope is that, like Jin, the members will set positive examples with their diligent military service and return in good health.
