Actress Go Min-si emphasized that Song Kang was still the main character in Season 2 of “Sweet Home”
On the morning of December 12th, Go Min-si talked about her recently released drama “Sweet Home Season 2” in an interview at a cafe in Bukchon-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Following the success of Season 1, “Sweet Home 2” continues to depict the struggles that Hyun-soo (Song Kang) and Green Home survivors face after moving to a new place and the emergence of new beings and mysterious phenomena in the world where people with desires become monsters. Go Min-si returned in Season 2 as Eun-yoo, one of the main characters.
When asked if she knew about the reduction in Song Kang’s screen time, Go Min-si said, “I met Song Kang in the latter part of the filming but the script was revised in the middle so I didn’t know about it. I didn’t know what others were doing other than those who filmed with me. I didn’t monitor the drama before its release either. But when I watched the preview, I noticed that the screen time was divided differently for each character. After watching the revised version, I thought, ‘Song Kang’s fans would feel disappointed’. But all of those things will be resolved in season 3. (laughs).”
Regarding the reappearance of Lee Do-hyun, who played Eun-yoo’s older brother Eun-hyuk in Season 1, at the end of Season 2, Go Min-si shared, “As many people expected, Eun-hyuk did appear in the last scene. The director also said that in the commentary. Eun-yoo and Eun-hyuk have no choice but to meet each other due to a family reunion and custody dispute. You will know whether they will have a happy ending after watching Season 3. I think you will have a chance to think again about what human happiness is. That’s also a point to watch the next season”.
When asked, “Can you feel the growth of yourself while filming the ‘Sweet Home’ series?”, Go Min-si responded, “While filming Season 2, I thought about that the most as I read the script and I looked back on the point where I expressed the changed appearance of Eun-yoo. In the beginning, I tried to adapt to Eun-yoo’s lines, expressions and the way she walks. For each project, I always tried to go back to the beginning and take a step forward again as if it were my first time acting. However, since I filmed Seasons 2 and 3 of ‘Sweet Home’ at the same time, the working period felt particularly long.”
