After G-Dragon’s drug scandal was resolved, the legal team of the male idol held a disbandment party, drawing attention
On December 22, G-Dragon concluded the year with a disbandment party for his legal team, after his drug allegations got resolved.
In particular, the legal representative from the law firm that handled G-Dragon’s legal matters shared a photo of the disbandment party on social media. The ceremony included G-Dragon, representatives from his new agency Galaxy Corporation, and legal professionals. This event marked the end of a challenging period during which G-Dragon faced unfounded drug accusations for about three months but ultimately proved his innocence.
The banner at the closing ceremony read, “G-Dragon Dream Team Closing Ceremony. Thank you for the support during difficult times. We will not forget the efforts you made by our side”, along with the phrase “The truth prevails” sitting at the top.
This phrase, also posted by G-Dragon on his social media after receiving a negative drug test result, conveys the idea that ultimately, everything returns to the right path.
During the disbandment party of his legal team, G-Dragon expressed gratitude to the lawyers, sharing hugs and wearing a bright smile.
Meanwhile, earlier on October 25, G-Dragon faced allegations of drug use based on the statement of an adult entertainment establishment manager. However, he received negative results in both preliminary and detailed drug tests, and the police couldn’t find any evidence to support the allegations, leading to the case eventually being closed without charges.
Afterward, G-Dragon established a foundation to combat and eradicate drug-related issues and donated 300 million KRW (approx 231,000 USD) to the foundation, stating that he want to share opportunities with people who cannot afford treatment and prevent them from recurring.
Currently, G-Dragon has canceled all year-end schedules. Judging from his recent social media post featuring a drawing of a chrysanthemum on a black background, it seems he is participating in commemorating the late actor Lee Sun-kyun, who is suspected of taking his own life during an investigation into drug allegations.
Additionally, Galaxy Corporation announced on December 28 that they would collect malicious comments, false information, and posts damaging G-Dragon’s reputation circulating online and take legal action.
