Choi Jong-hoon

Choi Jong-hoon was arrested on May 9, 2019, on charges of sexually assaulting and illegally filming women. Choi was later handed over to trial and sentenced to five years in prison in the first trial. After an appeal trial, he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison and was released from prison on November 8, 2021.

Meanwhile, Jung Joon-young, who was confirmed to be sentenced to five years in prison on the same charges as Choi Jong-hoon, is set to be released from prison on October 1, 2025.

Jung Joon-young

Jung Joon-young was put on trial in March 2016 on charges of drugging women and sexually assaulting women in Daegu. Jung Joon-young is also accused of distributing illegal filming 11 times since the end of 2015, including transmitting videos showing sexual intercourse with women in group chat rooms, which included BIGBANG’s Seungri.

At the time, Jung Joon-young admitted to some of the charges, but denied the assault charges, saying they were consensual sex. In response, the court sentenced Jung to six years in prison, considering the nature of the crime was considerable and no agreement was reached with the victims. However, Jung’s sentence was reduced to five years in the appellate court.
