Singer Kim Jong-kook Reveals Experience with Fraud
On the 9th, the SBS show “My Ugly Duckling” featured Choi Jin-hyuk, the king of consumption, inviting Lee Sang-min and Kim Jong-kook to his housewarming party.
During the show, Lee Sang-min asked Kim Jong-kook, “Has anyone ever asked you to lend them money?” Kim Jong-kook replied, “Of course. My mother always told me that when lending money, I should do so without expecting it back.”
When asked if he had ever been scammed, Kim Jong-kook admitted that he had, sparking curiosity.
Kim Jong-kook shared a shocking story, “I wasn’t swayed even after hearing about it a hundred times, but because everyone around me kept insisting I should invest, I finally did. The amount was several billion won.”
He continued, “I thought it was a safe investment, but it turned out it wasn’t. After going through that, I decided to only focus on money earned through work and completely lost interest in anything else.”
In response, Choi Jin-hyuk explained, “My mother always said, ‘When you see an advertisement saying the boss is crazy, you should know it’s not true. The one who’s crazy is you.’ That’s why I relieved stress through spending,” revealing the reason behind his increased consumption.
