After receiving harsh criticisms from China, BLACKPINK’s Lisa is being shunned by Korean netizens as well
Although about two months have passed since her performance at Crazy Horse Paris, waves of criticism are still directed at BLACKPINK’s Lisa from both China and Korea.
In particular, the Weibo accounts of Lisa and of her fan club have suddenly vanished, raising suspicions about Lisa being “erased” from the Chinese entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, as the controversy escalated on social media, intense debates were also sparked among Korean netizens. On the Korean platform Naver, most opinions express frustration that Lisa, as a K-pop idol, is lowering the image of Korea by performing at a cabaret like Crazy Horse. Some even went as far as to demand YG to kick Lisa out of BLACKPINK, reasoning that this is a necessary move to avoid tarnishing the reputation of the group and of K-pop idols in general.
At the same time, Korean netizens also express concern about BLACKPINK’s future path if Lisa’s ban in China becomes a reality. They believe that the profits from concerts, album sales, and advertising contracts with luxurious brands are largely influenced by the Chinese market. If the group cannot promote in this market, YG could face significant financial losses.
Some comments also express outrage because Lisa sparked a massive controversy with topless dancing, yet she has not made any public apologies. On the contrary, she is believed to have “challenged” the situation on her personal page. After completing 5 nights of performances at Crazy Horse, Lisa posted a series of images from there with the caption “Call me if you need to fill an empty space.”
Lisa is criticized three times for the challenging statements related to her topless dancing.

Below are some comments from netizens:
– She ruined the image of K-pop with her vulgar performance. No Korean idols would ever perform at a place like that
– This should serve as a wake-up call for Korean idols too. You’d look cheap trying to attract attention with provocative acts. Hwasa, for instance, needs to focus on using her singing skills instead of trying to use her body.
– It’s unimaginable that an idol who has been active for so long would perform a strip tease on stage.
– Now BLACKPINK’s activities in China have been permanently damaged by Lisa. YG probably tried hard to oppose, but she still stubbornly threw herself into that show, causing heavy losses for YG. Just think about it, profits from concerts, album sales, advertising contracts with luxurious brands… even before anything happens, YG is already facing losses of several billion to tens of billion won. Moreover, Lisa also influences the K-pop industry in general and BLACKPINK in particular. Suppose some other Korean idol causes such a major scandal; at least that person can pretend to apologize. Meanwhile, Lisa still challenges the public by leaving comments like she’d be ready for another 19+ show
– First Jennie, now Lisa, they keep appearing on weird vulgar contents. They have decent songs and a lot of fame, so why are they being like this?
– Kick her from the group. Since dating that CEO, I don’t know what she’s thinking anymore.
– Don’t recruit foreign trainees anymore. Focus on purely Korean groups like BTS.
– Get out of our country. She’s making BLACKPINK look dirty and cheap
– Lisa is always the problem. Can’t YG just kick her out or debut a new group already
