Anna portrayed by Tang Wei thinks she would never love and or be loved again. Spending a day with a stranger named “Hoon” (Hyun Bin), Anna opens up her heart for the first time in seven years to Hoon, who accepts her as she is without knowing anything about her background. As soon as they become closer, the time has come for Anna to return to prison.

Having been living in the US for 2 years, Hoon is a man who believes in love and knows love better than anyone else. He provides whatever women need for money, whether it’s his friend, lover, sister, or dance partner. However, after approaching Anna, who doesn’t respond to him, out of curiosity, he feels real love for the first time.

Introducing “Late Autumn”, director Kim Tae-yong said, “It tells the story of Anna, who has closed her heart due to a big wound, and Hoon, a man who comes to her like a gift. For Anna, Hoon is a stranger she meets on the street but he matches her well and understands her. Hoon is like a gift in return to her. This movie is about ‘the moment you open up your heart’”

In “Late Autumn (Remastering Version)”, you will be able to see Hyun Bin’s youthful appearance when he was in his prime time as well as his skillful and attractive acting performance. Above all, Tang Wei, who has proved her impressive acting through “Decision to Leave” (2022), will also appear with a much younger visual and give the audience a special experience.

The re-release of “Late Autumn” after remastering will include the song sung by Tang Wei herself as the ending song for the first time to leave deep lingering feelings in viewers after watching the movie. The lyrical melody and Tang Wei’s sweet voice are expected to raise the romantic atmosphere in the movie to the fullest.

Meanwhile, director Kim Tae-yong married Tang Wei in 2014 after filming “Late Autumn”.

When asked about Tang Wei during an interview in 2011, director Kim said, “I was impressed by her after watching ‘Lustm, Caution’ (2007). I really looked forward to seeing how she would look when she gets older”, adding “Anna is a lonely person, but Tang Wei is very sociable, bright, energetic, positive and healthy. I like that unbalance”, adding “If Tang Wei was a vulnerable style, she wouldn’t have been able to portray the character like that. I really liked the feeling when seeing the actress trying to suppress her overflowing energy for the character.”
