An image recently circulated online claiming to show Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin with their child, stirring major buzz among fans. The photo, shared by an overseas fan account, appeared to be a rare family portrait of the popular celebrity couple—leading many to believe it was a real glimpse into their private life.
However, it was quickly revealed that the photo was AI-generated. The image originated from a user in India who had uploaded several manipulated pictures to their personal social media account. While most of the photos were clearly artificial, one looked realistic enough to deceive many international fans and rapidly spread across platforms.

Upon closer inspection, the flaws became apparent: Hyun Bin’s arm was missing, and the way his hand appeared to hold Son Ye-jin was visibly unnatural. The child in the photo also appeared far too young, despite the fact that their real son—born in 2022—is now nearly three years old.
On July 5, Hyun Bin’s agency confirmed: “The circulating image is fake, created using AI. Though not an official matter, we are working to remove the image through legal channels.”
Son Ye-jin’s agency added: “She has never shared a photo of her child. These AI-generated images have circulated since her wedding announcement. While we report such content, overseas enforcement is limited. Still, we clarify the images are fake via official channels.”

Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin rose to fame as the lead couple in Crash Landing on You (2020), which later became a massive hit on Netflix, especially in Japan. The two married in 2022 and welcomed their son later that year.
While Son Ye-jin is known for engaging with fans online, she has never revealed her son’s face. Hyun Bin once mentioned on You Quiz on the Block that their child “looks more like his mom.”
