This Actress Debuted At 6 To Prevent Being Kidnapped?

Due to this actress being too pretty as a child, her mother let her debut early to avoid kidnapping

Back in 2022, Lee Se-young appeared in the MBC show “Radio Star” and recalled the story behind her debut. In particular, the actress said, “I debuted when I was six years old. At that time, there were many kidnapping cases. I started acting because my parents thought it would be disadvantageous to kidnap me or the witness would recognize me better if my face became more known. Somehow, I ended up doing it as a job.”

Apparently, Lee Se-young looked so pretty during her childhood, that her mother was worried about her getting kidnapped.

After debuting as a child actor and actively engaging in film and drama projects, Lee Se-young, who is now 30 years old, continues to meet the public with works of various genres.

Currently, Lee Se-young is drawing attention for starring in the MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract”, which started with a viewership rating of 5.6% before rising slightly to 5.9%.

“The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract”, which fills the time slot of Namgoong Min’s recently-concluded drama “My Dearest”, is expected to be Lee Se-young’s next pillar work and continues the success of MBC’s “The Red Sleeve”.

Meanwhile, “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” tells the story of Park Yeon-woo, a 19th-century woman with strict Confucian values, who, after transcending death, enters the 21st century and enters into a contract marriage with the emotionless man Kang Tae-ha.

Lee Se-young takes on the role of Park Yeon-woo, leading the drama, while actor Bae In-hyuk plays the role of Kang Tae-ha.

Through the first and second episodes of “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract”, Lee Se-young, who is excellent at expressing characters with rich stories in melodramas, effectively captivated viewers’ initial interest while showcasing her acting prowess once again.

As Lee Se-young’s “The Red Sleeve” also started with a 5.7% viewership rating and later achieved a record of 17.4%, “The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract” is expected show a similar rising trend and solidify Lee Se-young’s position as a star actress.
