An actress has been gathering great attention after being the “one-sided love” of Lee Jae-wook for 10 years
Born in 1996, actress Yang Hye-ji developed an interest in acting after watching a play by her uncle, actor Ahn Nae-sang. As a result, she started to nurture her dream of becoming an actress from the 10th grade.
After entering Sungkyunkwan University, Yang Hye-jin debuted in 2016 with a role in the web-drama “Secret Crushes: Season 2”. The actress studied acting alongside actress Moon Ga-young and Apink’s Kim Nam-joo at university, and had a fun college life, where she consistantly took the top spot in her department and even became a cover model for the university magazine.
Yang Hye-ji later gained recognition for her unique charm and acting skills through appearances in various dramas such as “The Rich Son”, “Dear My Room”, “Big Issue”, “Falling in Love”, “When the Weather is Fine”, “Live On”, “Nevertheless”, and most recently, “Revenant”.
In the JTBC drama “When the Weather is Fine, Yang Hye-ji assumed the role of Ji Eun-sil, the first love of Lee Jae-wook’s character, Lee Jang-woo. Here, she captivated the audience with heart-fluttering moments, and explosive chemistry with Lee Jae-wook.
An episode shows Lee Jang-woo, who was on his way to lunch, meeting Ji Eun-sil and mustering the courage to suggest a date. After their meal, the two shared a conversation about happiness on a convenience store bench.
It was then that Ji Eun-sil approached Lee Jang-woo and coolly confessed, drawing a conclusion to Lee Jang-woo’s 10-year crush.
In the drama “Live On”, Yang Hye-ji played the role of Ji So-hyun, a model student. In “Nevertheless”, Yang Hye-ji gained recognition through her role of Oh Bit-na, shining alongside Han So-hee and Song Kang.
While appearing as a close friend of female lead Na-bi (played by Han So-hee), Yang Hye-ji has maintained a personal friendship with actress Han So-hee and even left comments on SNS expressing love, causing a stir.
Additionally, Yang Hye-ji recently appeared in the drama “Revenant” as Baek Se-mi, who shows support for female lead Gu San-yeong (played by Kim Tae-ri).
Meanwhile, it was announced that Yang Hye-ji will join “Sweet Home 2” as a new character, playing the role of Jung Ye-seul. Despite not appearing in Season 1, the actress is expected to contribute to the strong lineup of the drama.
Meanwhile, “Sweet Home 2” will feature a solid cast lineup including Song Kang, Lee Jin-wook, Lee Si-young, Go Min-si, Park Gyu-young, Yu Oh-seong, Oh Jung-se, Kim Mu-yeol, Jung Jin-young, and Yang Hye-ji, among others, and is set to be released on December 1.
