In the past, Kim Minju mentioned her “dark history” related to EBS’s “Boni Hani” audition, attracting attention. She revealed, “When I was in middle school, I went for the ‘Boni Hani’ audition. But unlike other auditions, they did not explain how things work. When I opened up the door, it was a studio. They asked me to do something. I had to show some skills and dance moves. They also asked me to do some beautiful poses. I did improvisations. I didn’t know it was going public. They uploaded it on social media. I didn’t tell my friends that I was a trainee. When my video got posted online, all my friends learned about it. You know how there’s a TV in classrooms. They turned on my auditioning video there.”
Meanwhile, Kim Minju is set to meet the audience in the remake movie “Hear Me: Our Summer”, where she will play the role of Xiao Peng, Yang Yang’s older sister. “Hear Me: Our Summer” is based on the Taiwanese film of the same name produced in 2009, portraying the story of Yang Yang, a woman who speaks with her hands, and Tian Kuo, a man who falls in love with Yang Yang at first sight.
