On December 27, a video titled “Tears Finally Fall in Chicago…” was uploaded to the YouTube channel “Weracle.”
The video showed the couple traveling to Chicago, USA, and spending time together at a hotel.
Upon waking up, Park Wi affectionately greeted Song Ji Eun with a sweet, “Good morning, my darling~” showcasing the warmth of their newlywed life. Later, watching Song Ji Eun marvel at Chicago’s scenery, Park Wi expressed his love, “Ji Eun, I love you.”
Park Wi reflected on the difficulties of traveling since his accident, especially due to the lack of wheelchair-accessible restrooms. “Traveling after getting injured was really.. quite scary for me. Do you know why? Because of the bathrooms! Because most bathrooms aren’t ‘barrier-free’,” he admitted, sharing the challenges of his daily life in a wheelchair.

Holding Song Ji Eun’s hand, Park Wi broke down in tears, “Why am I tearing up? Just with Ji Eun.. It’s just love.. because it’s so lovely. Because I love you. It’s just because I’m so thankful.”
He continued, “I don’t know why I’m like this. I think it’s just because I’m so moved. It feels like a miracle. Every single moment right now. I’m just grateful to be here in the U.S. and to share this moment with Ji Eun.”
Song Ji Eun was also moved to tears and said, “It’s been such a happy time. But from now on, we’ll have so many more happy times together.” Park Wi agreed, “That’s right. And looking back, it’s feel like there are no failures. It’s just part of living life. It’s just a process.”
Park Wi shared how he initially struggled after becoming paralyzed. “When I became fully paralyzed, even using a wheelchair.. At first, I couldn’t even imagine it.” he said. Song Ji Eun comforted him, “It’s not failure—it’s a process, oppa. You’ve gone through that process wonderfully, and come out of it so well. That’s why it feels even more moving.”
Later, the couple met with friends and enjoyed a pleasant time together.
During their meeting, Song Ji Eun brought up Park Wi’s emotional moment that morning. Park Wi explained, “At first, I just felt so powerless. I was trying to put on socks this morning, but it was taking so long for some reason… Even putting on pants, too. Suddenly, I just felt so small and pathetic. I’ve never felt like this before. It was a little tough emotionally. But after hugging Ji Eun.. Ji Eun gave me a little kiss.. That fact that our couple and this couple met feels like such a miracle.”
He continued, “When I was lying paralyzed, Sandol would come straight to the hospital every single day after work. I couldn’t do anything by myself. So, what I practiced back then was sitting on the toilet, and practicing how to go to the bathroom. What Sandol did was he’d sit me on the toilet. In one hand, holding a Bible, and with the other hand, massaging my stomach. So, when I think about those times, it’s a complete miracle.”

Afterward, the couple enjoyed a date in Chicago. Back at their hotel, Song Ji Eun reflected on the trip, “I really enjoyed this trip~. Even though we weren’t just doing nothing and lazing around, it still felt like such a refreshing break.”
Overcome with emotion, Park Wi added, “What’s wrong with me today… Why did I cry so much on this trip?!” Song Ji Eun, also in tears, joked, “I caught it from oppa~~,” and the two shared another heartfelt moment.
Meanwhile, Park Wi, who became paralyzed after a building fall, has regained partial upper body mobility through rehabilitation and is recognized as an icon of positivity. He married Song Ji Eun, a former member of the group Secret, on October 9.
