On November 20, ADOR stated, “We would like to share our stance on the resignation of Director Min Hee-jin. We deeply regret Min Hee-jin’s unilateral decision to step down. ADOR will do its utmost to support NewJeans in achieving greater growth and success.”

Earlier the same day, Min Hee-jin announced her resignation as an internal director and declared the termination of her shareholder agreement with HYBE. She also revealed her intention to hold HYBE legally accountable for violations of the shareholder agreement.

Min Hee-jin joined HYBE as Chief Brand Officer (CBO) in 2019. She became the CEO of ADOR in 2021, launching the group NewJeans in 2022 and achieving significant success.

Tensions between Min Hee-jin and HYBE escalated in April of this year when HYBE unexpectedly conducted an audit of ADOR, suspecting Min Hee-jin and her associates of plotting to take over the company.

By August, Min Hee-jin was dismissed from her position as CEO of ADOR. HYBE offered her the role of internal director, but she declined, citing harmful clauses in the contract.
