ADOR on Court Decision: Wants Sincere Conversation, Will Send Staff to Support NewJeans

Following the Seoul Central District Court’s ruling on March 21, ADOR has been legally reaffirmed as NewJeans’ official agency, preventing the members from carrying out independent activities. The court deemed NewJeans‘ solo contracts and promotions outside of ADOR as a violation of their exclusive contract.
In response, ADOR expressed gratitude for the court’s decision and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the group. ADOR also addressed NewJeans’ upcoming ComplexCon performance in Hong Kong, confirming that it will provide on-site assistance for the group’s appearance under the name “NewJeans”. Additionally, the company emphasized its desire to communicate openly with the members, hoping for a resolution that allows them to grow together.

The dispute between NewJeans and ADOR escalated after the members declared contract termination in November 2024, citing breaches by the agency. Since then, they had attempted to pursue independent activities under the name “NJZ”, leading ADOR to file for an injunction in January 2025. The agency’s legal request sought to prevent the group from signing independent contracts and even expanding the scope to restrict their musical activities, including songwriting and recording.
With the court’s ruling in ADOR’s favor, NewJeans’ independent promotions are now on hold.

Below is the full official statement from ADOR:
