aespa’s Karina revealed her friendship with ITZY members
On the broadcast of MBC FM4U’s Kim Shin-young’s Hope Song at Noon on November 13th, aespa’s Karina and Ningning appeared as guests to promote their new album “Drama.”
When asked by DJ Kim Shin-young, “Do you have close idol friends?” Karina replied, “Not recently, but I’m close with ITZY’s Ryujin and Yeji.”
Karina explained, “We used the same waiting room, but because I’m shy, I couldn’t approach them first. However, ITZY members took the initiative, bought us watermelon juice, and said, ‘We want to be friends,’ so we became close.”
Upon hearing this, Ningning burst into laughter, saying, “I’ve met them, but we’re not that close.”
Karina emphasized, “I tend to reply quickly only within our group, so I have been slow at responding to Yeji’s messages. I want to take this opportunity to apologize.”
