According to SM Entertainment on May 14th, aespa’s “Supernova”, which was released the previous day at 6 p.m (KST), topped the Bugs real-time chart and ranked 17th on Melon’s “Top 100” chart.
Moreover, it topped the digital album sales chart, overall music video chart, and Korean music video chart of QQ Music, China’s largest music platform, as well as Tencent Music K-pop chart and Kuwo Music digital album chart. It also claimed the top spot on the AWA real-time rising chart on the local Japanese music platform.

With this song, aespa also ranked first in the iTunes “Top Songs” chart in countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Oman, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia.
“Supernova” is one of the double title tracks from aespa’s first full album. It is an impressive dance track with a minimalistic sound based on weighty kicks and bass, metaphorically depicting the beginning of a massive explosion within oneself with the imagery of a supernova.
On the other hand, aespa’s 1st full album, “Armageddon,” will be released on May 27.
