Agency CEO Sentenced To Suspended Jail For Assaulting Idol With Metal Rod Due To Romance With Manager

According to News1, a former CEO A of a South Korean entertainment company was sentenced to one year in prison, suspended for three years, for assaulting three male idols and causing serious injuries.
In addition, the court fined A 5 million won for violating the Child Welfare Act and ordered A to complete 120 hours of community service.
The court said, “A assaulted children, who had difficulty resisting or defending themselves, multiple times with a pre-prepared hanger rod, causing injuries that took four weeks to recover after medical treatment. The level of the assault was so severe that the hanger rod even broke.”
During the trial, detailed accounts of A’s crimes were revealed. On the day of the incident, A reportedly arrived at the company intoxicated and stormed into the dormitory of an idol group. A then repeatedly struck an idol, identified as B, on the thighs and buttocks with a metal clothing rod while questioning him about dating a company staff member. Two other group members present were also assaulted, receiving blows to the head with the same metal rod. The assault was so severe that the clothing rod broke. Reports further indicated that A’s anger was partly fueled by the dormitory’s untidiness.
One of the three victims reported the assault to the police in 2024, prompting an official investigation into A’s actions in June of the same year. Speculation has arisen since then, suggesting that Idol B may be former DXMON member Jo. He left the group shortly after the police launched their investigation into A’s assault charges.

Adding to the controversy, a netizen recently stirred discussions. The netizen tagged DXMON’s official account in a post referencing allegations that a member of the group had inappropriate relationships with fans. The post read:

#DXMON, you’re going to keep using Instagram with me, right? Why did you stop? I want to know more secrets about your company. One thing’s for sure—I won’t be beaten with a 90cm-long rod, right? Sleeping with fans? Must’ve been fun overseas. The members did a great job. You secretly did a lot of bad things behind the company’s back, and there’s plenty of evidence now. Are you trying to break up the group?
The post mentioned a 90cm-long rod, leading many netizens to speculate that the reference linked to the reported assault, further fueling suspicions that former CEO A once managed DXMON.
