Ahn Bo-hyun Became Actor Thanks To Kim Woo-bin, “I Followed Him To Seoul To Pursue Acting”

SBS’s “Whenever There’s A Chance” broadcast on May 14th showed actor Ahn Bo-hyun appearing as a guest. Upon showing up, Ahn Bo-hyun called Yoo Yeon-seok by his real name, saying “It’s good to see actor Ahn doing well. I’m always rooting for you”.
Yoo Jae-suk, Yoo Yeon-seok, and Ahn Bo-hyun then spent time talking with Colonel Lee Hae-jeong, who was discharged from the military in 2011 after serving in the Navy for 30 years and is currently working as a commentator for visitors who came to see warships and submarines at the Han River Park.

Later, the three carried out a mission in which they had to put the ping-pong balls in designated color cups. After failing many times, Ahn Bo-hyun succeeded a minute before the end of the game. Therefore, he received a smartwatch and a robot vacuum cleaner.
While eating Chinese food for lunch, Yoo Jae-suk asked Ahn Bo-hyun, “Did you think about coming to Seoul while doing boxing in Busan?”. In response, Ahn Bo-hyun said, “While playing boxing, I wondered if I should attend a school as a specialist or join a semi-professional team. I was very worried about my career path”.

He continued, “My parents also said they wanted me to quit sports, so I tried becoming a soldier. While I was on the honor guard, I kept wondering about what I should do. At that time, someone advised me, ‘Why don’t you try another job? Since you’re very tall’, and that led me to become a model”, adding “After graduation, Woo-bin told me, ‘I’ll pursue acting. I’m moving to Seoul’. I was inspired by his words, so I also went to Seoul right after my military discharge”.
Ahn Bo-hyun shared, “Woo-bin was a year behind me in university. While working as a model, I thought about how to become an actor and did a lot of part-time jobs in Mangwon-dong.”
