Singer Ailee (36, birth name Lee Ye-jin) has been revealed to be legally married to her fiancé, actor and businessman Choi Sihoon (33), since August 21, 2024.
According to Star News on March 25, the couple had already filed their marriage registration months before publicly revealing their wedding plans. This came as a surprise to many, as they had only confirmed their cohabitation earlier this year on MBC’s variety program “Hangout with Yoo“.
Their wedding ceremony is set for April 20, 2025. The couple reportedly met through mutual acquaintances and developed their relationship quietly until Ailee announced the engagement to fans in November last year through her official fan café.
At the time, Ailee wrote, “I’ve met someone with whom I want to share all the love I’ve received, and I’ve decided to get married.” She described Choi as a reliable and understanding partner who gave her the courage to dream of a shared future.
Choi Sihoon, who gained popularity through the Netflix dating show “Single’s Inferno”, has since stepped away from the entertainment industry to focus on his F&B and MCN businesses.
Despite the wedding preparations, Ailee remains actively involved in her music career. On March 20, she released her new mini album “(Me)moir“, featuring the title track “MMI.” She appeared on “M Countdown” and “Music Bank” to promote her comeback.
Her agency, A2Z Entertainment, stated, “Ailee will continue to pursue her musical activities without pause. Even after marriage, she aims to show a more mature and responsible version of herself.”
