Kim Bo-ra & AKMU’s Suhyun Cry at Kim Sae-ron’s Funeral, Known Close Friends in the Industry

According to the entertainment industry on Febrauary 18th, AKMU’s Suhyun and actress Kim Bo-ra visited Kim Sae-ron’s funeral hall set up at Seoul Asan Medical Center in Pungnap-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul the day before.

It is reported that they rushed to the funeral hall as soon as it was set up and mourned the deceased for a long time, wailing.

The three are famous “best friends” in the entertainment industry. They have been together since the late 2010s, and have shown their friendship through the JTBC entertainment show “Long Live Independence” (2021) and through Suhyun’s SNS account.

Lee Su-hyun said, “We have been friends for 4~5 years. Kim Sae-ron, Kim Bo-ra, and I don’t even need to make plans to meet up. Our shared group chat even includes our home passwords.”

She added, “Sae-ron and Bo-ra were so close (with me) that we shared our house passwords in a group chat room without any special plans. When we’re at my house, Bo-ra does the cleaning and recycling, while Sae-ron cooks. We’ve never fought and have always gotten along well.” 

The two frequently posted pictures together. They participated in the Ice Bucket Challenge in June 2018 and their Japan trip video was posted on Lee Su-hyun’s YouTube. 

Kim Sae-ron’s sudden death has sparked an outpouring of sympathy for Lee Su-hyun and Kim Bo-ra.

Meanwhile, previously on February 17, the private funeral of the late actress Kim Sae-ron was held at Seoul Asan Medical Center, as requested by her family to keep the proceedings away from media coverage. Among those who visited the funeral were Kim Sae-ron’s close friends, including actresses Han So-hee and Kim Bo-ra. AKMU’s Lee Chan-hyuk and Lee Su-hyun, the sibling duo, also made an appearance.
