On May 31, ALICE’s former member Sohee posted, “Huh? What’s a ‘hostess’? I met my husband at a birthday party for an unnie I worked with,” adding, “I heard you need personal details to file a lawsuit, so if anyone knows anything, please provide information.”

The accompanying screenshot showed an anonymous netizen spreading rumors that both Sohee from ALICE and Ji Yoon-mi were “from a hostess bar.”

Previously, Ji Yoon-mi, a former cast member of ComedyTV’s Ulzzang Generation 7 who transformed into a shopping mall CEO and successful billionaire entrepreneur, held a Q&A session with fans.

During the session, a question asked, “Is it true that ALICE’s Sohee met her husband at a hostess bar? And Ji Yoon-mi, too?” Ji Yoon-mi responded, “What kind of new nonsense is this? Wow, it’s so easy to turn someone into a ‘bar girl’ in an instant,” and expressed her frustration, saying, “From now on, those who call me a ‘bar girl’ should provide proof—where I supposedly worked, any photos, or someone who actually partied with me. I’d be grateful if you could name a single real person who hung out with me. Or if there’s an unnie who worked with me, please step forward.”

She added, “Our lawyer must be exhausted. I won’t forgive these kinds of remarks under any circumstances,” signaling a strong legal response.

Notably, Sohee announced her marriage to a businessman 15 years her senior in April 2024, along with her retirement from the entertainment industry.

At the time, her agency told OSEN, “It’s true that Sohee from ALICE is getting married to her boyfriend. Her exclusive contract will soon expire, but she has decided not to renew it. She will retire from the entertainment industry upon her marriage. Sohee has always wanted to build a happy family quickly once she met someone she loves.”
