Former Japanese adult film actress turned influencer Asuka Kirara has firmly denied the recent prostitution allegations involving Joo Haknyeon, a former member of K-pop group THE BOYZ. “I have never in my life accepted money in exchange for sexual activity,” she declared, pushing back against the spreading rumors.

The controversy emerged on June 18, when a query letter from Japanese tabloid Shukan Bunshun was leaked, suggesting that the two were seen together at a drinking party in Tokyo. Reports claimed they engaged in physical contact, and that someone present allegedly sold photos of the encounter to the media.
On June 21, Asuka Kirara addressed the issue on her social media, stating, “There are a lot of baseless assumptions going around, but the Shukan Bunshun article has not been published yet. Please do not spread misinformation.” She stressed that she had never participated in prostitution, adding, “It was a gathering arranged by an acquaintance, and the woman present, whom I met for the first time, seemed to like Joo Haknyeon. That photo was sold to Bunshun.”
Joo Haknyeon also responded with a handwritten letter on May 30, denying any involvement in prostitution or illegal activity. However, the controversy continued to grow, prompting his agency, Onehundred, to announce his departure from the group and termination of his exclusive contract due to the severity of the matter.
In a follow-up statement, Joo Haknyeon refuted the agency’s claims, saying, “I did not voluntarily leave the group, nor did I agree to terminate my contract. The agency is using baseless reasons for ending it.” He demanded that any supposed evidence of prostitution be released immediately and indicated he would take legal action.

As the dispute intensifies, the agency reaffirmed that the contract termination was in accordance with legal clauses and stated they would respond firmly using all necessary legal means.
Meanwhile, Shukan Bunshun has yet to release an official report, leaving the public caught in a whirlwind of conflicting statements and escalating legal threats.
