Seonghwa whose full name is Park Seonghwa, was born on April 3, 1998. He is a vocalist, rapper, and performer of famous K-pop boy group ATEEZ, and is the oldest member of the group.

Seonghwa’s Basic Information & Trivia
Seonghwa’s name is a combination of the words “star” and “to become”, meaning “to become a star”. He was born in Seodong, Sacheon-si, Gyeongsangnam -do in South Korea, and graduated from the Broadcasting and Entertainment Department at Global Cyber University. He used to attend the Practical Dance Department at Baekje Arts University. His family consists of his parents and an older brother born in 1995. Seonghwa also previously shared the heart-wrenching news of his grandmother’s passing.
Seonghwa is known to be able to flexibly use his low and mid-range vocals, and can sing with stability even while performing intense choreography. In fact, even though he jumped off a table in a performance for the show “Immortal Songs”, his breathing was stable and unwavering. He also impressed the crowd with his stable singing when ATEEZ performed at the famous music festival Coachella. Additionally, despite currently holding the vocal position, Seonghwa auditioned for rap.
While Seonghwa has a cold 1st impression, he is actually gentle, polite, and has a warm heart. In fact, he is said to play a “motherly role” within ATEEZ. He is also known to be sensitive and emotional, so he cries even at trivial stories. He is secretly a bit silly and often shows his quirky side, which makes people laugh.
According to Seonghwa himself, due to him being feeling-prone, he did not match well with member Mingi, who is extremely rational, at first. However, they have become somewhat neutralized as they have become infatuated with each other.

Seonghwa’s Career
Prior to his debut with ATEEZ, Seonghwa appeared on the survival show “MIXNINE”, but was eliminated. Additionally, the male idol was among the members of KG Entertainment’s trainee group “KQ Fellaz”. He also appeared in the pre-debut webseries “KQ Fellaz American Training” and the debut reality show “Code Name Is Ateez”, releasing the song “From”.
