BABYMONSTER Prides In Being YG’s Youngest, Having Their Own Rooms and G-Dragon’s Support

YG Entertainment’s rookie girl group BABYMONSTER shared updates about their lives and career, including their newfound independence and creative collaborations, during a guest appearance on KBS Cool FM’s “Lee Eun-ji’s Music Plaza” on November 15.

Life at the Dorm
The members proudly revealed that after just seven months since their debut, they’ve each moved into separate rooms at their dorm. When asked if they get tired of being together all day, they explained, “That’s why we have our own rooms. Personal time is important. We barely leave our rooms.” However, they shared that they still enjoy bonding moments, such as watching their music show performances together.
G-Dragon’s Involvement
BABYMONSTER also shared their excitement about G-Dragon’s contribution to their latest track, “DRIP”. The K-pop icon not only co-composed the song but also recorded a demo version of Asa’s rap part, showcasing his support for the group. “We’ve received a lot of help from senior artists,” they said, expressing gratitude for the guidance they’ve received.

Team Chemistry and Fun Moments
During the interview, the members praised each other’s talents, highlighting impressive vocals and dance breaks. Ahyeon humorously mentioned wanting to steal a jacket-removing move performed by Chikita in their choreography, jokingly adding, “I’d love to try it, but I don’t know if I could pull it off.”

When asked about dorm dynamics, Ruka revealed how the members are split between two floors: “Rora, Pharita, Ahyeon, and I live on one floor, while Chiquita, Rami, and Asa live on the other.” They also playfully discussed who are the most hard-working and the laziest, with Pharita noting, “Chiquita sleeps and eats a lot since she’s the youngest.” Meanwhile, Rami humorously added, “Asa unnie is always the last to get to the elevator.”
