Recently, an online community post titled “Min Hee-jin and Bang Si-hyuk Reconcile? Spotted at a Chinese Mall” gained attention. The post featured photos of a Chinese couple who dressed up as former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk for last year’s Halloween.

The man wore a black T-shirt, beige cotton pants and similar glasses, imitating Bang Si-hyuk’s look from a viral moment when he was spotted meeting BJ Juice Seyeon in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the woman replicated Min Hee-jin’s outfit from her press conference last year, wearing a green striped T-shirt, a blue cap from the same brand Min Hee-jin wore and even styling her hair the same way, astonishing onlookers.

The couple even mimicked the pose where Bang Si-hyuk was seen taking a photo of BJ Juice Seyeon. Netizens reacted with comments such as, “I really thought they reconciled“, “This proves K-pop’s influence“, “Were Bang Si-hyuk and Min Hee-jin a hot topic even overseas?” and “K-pop’s status is undeniable.”

Meanwhile, on October 29th, 2024, Seoul Central District Court’s Civil dismissed the provisional injunction filed by former CEO Min Hee-jin against HYBE regarding her reappointment as CEO. While Min Hee-jin had requested HYBE, ADOR’s parent company and major shareholder, to reappoint her as ADOR’s CEO in future board meetings, the court ruled it “an inadmissible application lacking legal interest.”

Subsequently, Min Hee-jin’s legal representative, Sejong Legal, claimed on the same day that “The court did not make a judgment on the validity of the shareholders’ agreement” and argued that “The shareholders’ agreement between HYBE and former CEO Min remains valid.”

Min Hee-jin’s side also stated, “We will actively consider exercising rights related to HYBE’s violation of the shareholders’ agreement if HYBE and its appointed ADOR directors violate the agreement by not reappointing Min Hee-jin as CEO.”

As this suggests the possibility of legal action against HYBE regarding the shareholders’ agreement, observers predict that the uncomfortable coexistence between former CEO Min Hee-jin, who remains an internal director at ADOR, and HYBE will continue for the time being.
