In an exclusive interview with Xports News, GLG’s CEO Heo Yong-seok shared his hopes for BBGIRLS’ (formerly Brave Girls) fresh start and the synergy between the group and GLG. After parting ways with their former agency in April last year, the group officially signed with GLG in December. GLG had already been assisting BBGIRLS as a supportive partner, allowing the members to focus solely on their music and performances.

CEO Heo Yong-seok emphasized that the trust built during their partnership led to the official contract. “BBGIRLS needed a reliable agency, and we wanted to support their new journey as a trio,” he said.

Despite initial concerns about public reception and market acceptance, Heo Yong-seok was encouraged by the members’ strong determination to succeed as a three-member group. “Their resolve was so evident that it gave me confidence they could make it work,” he explained.

The group adapted their four-member repertoire for the trio, reassigning parts and reworking performances. Heo praised their commitment and the close bond among the members. “Watching their effort and teamwork, I realized my role was simply to support them,” he said.

BBGIRLS recently released their new single “LOVE 2” on January 15. The dance-pop track, produced by hitmaker Sweetune, captures the tender and uplifting emotions of two people falling in love, while also delivering a heartfelt message to fans. Heo Yong-seok expressed plans to explore diverse musical styles, beginning with this release.

GLG previously found success with their girl group H1-KEY, whose track “Rose Blossom” resonated with audiences through its authentic and relatable narrative. Heo Yong-seok hopes “LOVE 2” similarly connects with listeners, as it reflects BBGIRLS’ current journey.

Heo Yong-seok envisions BBGIRLS overcoming challenges to solidify their position as icons of resilience and hope. “They’ve faced several crises, from member changes to agency shifts, but their perseverance can inspire courage and hope in others,” he said.

He concluded with a heartfelt wish, “I hope BBGIRLS’ journey offers comfort and strength to many. They’ve held on and kept going, and I believe the outcome will be positive. We’ll do our best to help them regain the public’s love.”
