BIGBANG originally debuted with five members, but Seungri left the group in 2019 due to his involvement in the Burning Sun scandal. He was later convicted of multiple crimes, including arranging sex trafficking and engaging in illegal gambling, which led to a prison sentence.
T.O.P subsequently departed from the group in 2023.
Recently, G-Dragon made a comeback with his solo track “Power”, his first release since 2017. While promoting the song, he and fellow member Taeyang appeared on Daesung’s YouTube show “Daesung Zip”, where they reflected on their past experiences and shared memories.

During the episode, the PD presented various nostalgic items from BIGBANG’s history, including a poster from their “Always” album era. The members found the items amusing, surprised at how much they had forgotten over the years.
One of the items was an old photo from their early days that originally included all five members, though Seungri and T.O.P were cropped out of the version shown. Other memorabilia, such as a bank card and membership card featuring BIGBANG as five, had images of Seungri and T.O.P blurred out when shown up close.
In the interview, the members referred to themselves as a trio, which further confirmed the current lineup.
While questions about T.O.P and Seungri’s involvement with BIGBANG have lingered over time, these recent events seem to offer a final answer.
