G-Dragon Spotted Together with aespa?
On the afternoon of February 18th, Kpop forums came abuzz with candid photos of G-Dragon and the members of aespa busy on the streets. In these photos, the BIGBANG leader stood out with his striking blue hair and dapper outfit.
Meanwhile, the four members of aespa looked absolutely stunning. Karina stole the spotlight with her fresh, radiant beauty, while Giselle, recently making waves with her pink hair, exuded an upgraded aura. Additionally, Winter and Ningning appeared soft and feminine, embodying a “girl-next-door” charm.
It was later revealed that G-Dragon and aespa were filming for “Good Day,” the reality show hosted by the BIGBANG leader. On the show, guests experience daily life with G-Dragon, engaging in conversations and making music together. The first episode of “Good Day” aired on February 16, featuring an all-star guest lineup of 1988-born actors such as Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Jung Hae-in. However, the episode featuring aespa has yet to receive an official air date.
Karina to appear in G-Dragon’s MV?
On the other hand, previously on February 13th, G-Dragon’s agency, Galaxy Corporation, responded to the rumors of aespa’s Karina making an appearance in G-Dragon’s new music video via Newsen, saying “It is hard to confirm”.
Earlier on the same day, a report by Maeil Kyungjae Star Today stated that Karina would star in a music video for one of the songs in G-Dragon’s new album “Übermensch”.
Karina has appeared in several music videos of senior idols from SM Entertainment, such as “WANT” by Taemin in 2019, which was before her debut, and “Deja Vu” by TVXQ’s U-Know Yunho in 2023. This time, the female idol is expected to solidify her status once again by working with a global artist like G-Dragon.
Recently, G-Dragon became the center of attention as his side account on Instagram, @peaceminusone, was found to follow aespa’s Karina.
In the past, the singer has had several controversies for his interactions with female K-Pop idols on Instagram. For example, he once used one of IVE Wonyoung‘s stickers on his Instagram story, which started a dating rumor between them. In addition, f(x)‘s Krystal had to temporarily shut down her account as she received too much attention after G-Dragon liked many of her posts. G-Dragon also used his side account to follow IU, and later unfollowed her after his action sparked dating a rumor.
Due to these past controversies, many criticized G-Dragon for using his side account instead of his official one (@xxxibgdrgn) to follow Karina. These fans say they want to “protect” Karina from the older idol, fearing that she might be dragged into an unnecessary dating controversy because of him.
