BLACKPINK is back and this time, it’s bigger than ever. With BTS completing their military service and BLACKPINK launching their full-group comeback, 2025 is shaping up to be a landmark year for K-pop’s biggest acts.
According to industry insiders, BLACKPINK will kick off their new “DEADLINE” World Tour on July 5–6 at Goyang Stadium, marking their official group return after nearly three years. This comeback comes with new music, renewed symbolism, and the momentum of each member’s unprecedented solo success.
From Solo Queens to Group Titans
Since parting ways with YG Entertainment in 2023 for individual management, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have soared to new heights across music, film, and fashion.

- Rosé made history with her Bruno Mars collaboration “APT.”, staying on the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-breaking 36 weeks and peaking at No. 3 making her the highest-charting female K-pop soloist ever. She also contributed the original track “Messy” to the upcoming film F1: The Movie.
- Jennie’s solo album Ruby was named one of the “Best Albums of 2025” by NME and Billboard, praised for its clarity and confidence. Her crossover appeal continues to grow globally.
- Lisa blazed through five singles before releasing her highly-anticipated album Alter Ego in March, showcasing versatility beyond the K-pop genre. Her solo branding is now seen as a global expansion blueprint.
- Jisoo, meanwhile, is flourishing as an actress. After founding her own agency BLISSOO, she starred in Coupang Play’s Newtopia and the film adaptation of Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint. Her solo music deal with Warner Records further establishes her global presence.
With each member conquering their individual lanes, BLACKPINK’s reunion becomes even more symbolic proof that their collective star power hasn’t waned but only evolved.
A New Chapter Begins
The upcoming Goyang performance not only marks the start of their 31-date world tour across 16 cities, including LA, New York, Paris, London, Tokyo, Singapore, and Hong Kong, but also heralds the release of BLACKPINK’s first new single in 2 years and 10 months since 2022’s Born Pink.

According to pop culture critic Jung Min-jae, “They’ve each showcased their distinct musical identities, but as a group, they’re likely to return to a more unified sound for broader impact.” Still, the mystery surrounding their new single has only intensified anticipation.
Critic Lim Hee-yoon adds, “Jennie and Rosé have redefined the boundaries of solo K-pop. This comeback could push BLACKPINK into Grammy territory and beyond.”
Market Impact and Industry Reboot
BLACKPINK’s return is expected to reignite not just fan enthusiasm, but also the music market. Their last world tour drew 1.8 million attendees across 66 shows, generating a staggering ₩19 billion (approx. $14 million) in merchandise revenue alone. This tour could double those figures, as each show is expected to seat 60,000 fans—more than twice the previous tour’s average.
According to industry data, K-pop concert revenues are booming. HYBE’s Q1 2025 performance revenue rose 252% YoY, while YG saw a 292% increase. BLACKPINK’s tour is projected to become a new benchmark for live K-pop.

However, popularity has its downsides. Reports from Singapore and Hong Kong have noted rising ticket scams, with losses reaching nearly ₩950 million. The resale market has surged due to overwhelming demand.
To celebrate the Goyang launch, YG Entertainment is turning Seoul pink, transforming landmarks like Banpo Bridge, Namsan Tower, and Sebitseom Island into immersive fan zones under the slogan “BLACKPINK In Your Area.”
The Takeover Begins
As the DEADLINE Tour unfolds, BLACKPINK is set to deliver not just a comeback but a cultural reset. With a fresh single, massive venues, and fans around the world waiting, the group is poised to transcend K-pop boundaries and dominate the global pop scene once again.

Their message is clear: BLACKPINK is not just back they’re redefining what a K-pop comeback can be.
