On June 23, YG Entertainment announced that BLACKPINK will unveil their new track for the first time during the “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ‘DEADLINE’ IN GOYANG” to be held on July 5 and 6 at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium.
Although the schedule, title and concept of the new release have been kept tightly under wraps, it has already drawn immense interest from music fans around the world. Anticipation has peaked following YG executive producer Yang Hyun-suk’s official announcement hinting at their comeback, as well as reports of a music video shoot in Korea with a renowned international director.

YG stated, “There were many discussions about how to announce the new song, and we decided to premiere it at the Goyang concert, which marks the symbolic beginning of the ‘DEADLINE’ tour and the moment BLACKPINK reconnects with fans. Details regarding the release date will be shared soon through official channels.”
Despite their group hiatus, each member has shone in her individual pursuits:
- Rosé earned acclaim for her global hit “APT.”, a collaboration with Bruno Mars.
- Jennie and Lisa headlined standout sets at Coachella in April.
- Jisoo focused on acting, starring in Newtopia and preparing for the upcoming film Omniscient Reader: The Prophet, due July 23.

Emerging not just as K-pop sensations but global cultural icons, BLACKPINK is poised to take the summer by storm. Following the Goyang launch, the group will continue its global tour with stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Tokyo, and more.
On the morning of June 26 (KST), YG Entertainment stunned fans by unexpectedly dropping a trailer for BLACKPINK’s upcoming world tour titled DEADLINE. For weeks, the group’s global fandom, BLINKs, had been eagerly “praying” for any hint from YG, only to be met with silence—until now.
From the very first frames, the DEADLINE world tour trailer captivated fans with a bold, Americana-inspired concept, evoking imagery straight out of a Hollywood film. Sweeping desert landscapes, harsh sunlight, vintage phone booths, and convertible cars all contributed to the cinematic atmosphere of the clip.

However, despite the excitement, some fans expressed disappointment. The main reason? The teaser was solely for the DEADLINE world tour, not for BLACKPINK’s long-awaited music comeback. BLINKs had previously voiced frustration over YG’s lack of communication or clues regarding the group’s return to the music scene.
With a fresh single and world tour on the horizon, BLACKPINK’s summer comeback is set to be nothing short of spectacular.
