BLACKPINK Completes New Album Jacket Shoot, Adds More Shows to World Tour

According to YG Entertainment on May 27, BLACKPINK will be adding more shows to their BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ‘DEADLINE’, including performances in Kaohsiung on October 18 and 19, Bangkok on October 24, 25, and 26, Jakarta on November 1 and 2, Bulacan on November 22 and 23, Singapore on November 29 and 30, and Hong Kong on January 24 and 25.

With this, BLACKPINK will be connecting with global fans across 16 cities with a total of 31 shows. Previously, they announced tour dates starting in Goyang on July 5 and 6, followed by stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, and Tokyo.

YG stated, “Just like the title ‘DEADLINE,’ the artists and staff are putting their all into creating an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience,” adding, “Fans can expect to witness the ultimate pinnacle of BLACKPINK’s live performances.”

BLACKPINK is also preparing to release new music for the first time in approximately 2 years and 8 months since their 2022 second full album [BORN PINK]. Under the meticulous supervision of Yang Hyun-suk, the former YG Entertainment executive producer, BLACKPINK recently completed the jacket photoshoot for their new album at a secret location in Seoul.

Yang Hyun-suk confirmed via the YG blog on May 26 that fans can soon expect news of BLACKPINK’s new single—and with the jacket shoot finalized, the project is expected to be a full album that will captivate global audiences.

Each member—Jennie, Rosé, Jisoo, and Lisa—has successfully pursued solo activities, strengthening their individual artistry. Now, they are poised to reunite as BLACKPINK and intensify their collective work on the album.

Though YG Entertainment remains tight-lipped about precise dates, the new album is anticipated to drop around the time of BLACKPINK’s world tour, which kicks off on July 5 and 6 at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium. The tour will cover 18 shows across 10 major cities worldwide, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, and Tokyo.

BLACKPINK’s previous Born Pink world tour set records as the highest-grossing by any girl group in history. The upcoming tour promises a similarly high level of production quality and will feature performances of their classic hits as well as solo tracks from each member.

Following their departure from YG Entertainment at the end of 2023, the members have pursued independent paths—Rosé joining The Black Label, while Jennie, Lisa, and Jisoo launched their own individual agencies. Their recent solo achievements include Rosé’s duet with Bruno Mars, APT., which remained on the Billboard Hot 100 for 30 weeks, setting a record for K-pop female artists.

Jennie and Lisa delivered electrifying performances at the 2025 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, gaining global attention, while Jisoo continues to expand her influence in music and acting. Additionally, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa all appeared at the prestigious 2025 Met Gala, further solidifying their global presence.
