On July 5, BLACKPINK kicked off their “DEADLINE” world tour at the Goyang Sports Complex in South Korea, marking the group’s first full concert in nearly two years. While fans were eagerly anticipating the long-awaited show, some ticket holders expressed frustration over poor visibility, despite having paid for relatively expensive tickets.
Fans who purchased tickets in the N3 section, priced at 132,000 KRW (approx. 97 USD), found themselves unable to fully enjoy the concert due to a screen blocking their view of the stage. This section was marketed as a non-obstructed seat, differentiating it from cheaper seats listed as “restricted view” for 99,000 KRW (approx. 72 USD). However, the installation of a large screen in front of the section made it impossible for concertgoers to see the performance.

One fan, identified as A, posted their experience on social media, saying, “I paid for a 132,000 KRW ticket in the N3 section at Goyang Sports Complex and couldn’t see anything. They said the view could be blocked due to structures, but the stage was entirely blocked. It wasn’t even a restricted view seat, but a regular ticket. I was so angry. Fireworks and drones were completely blocked, and I could barely see anything!” The post quickly gained traction, garnering nearly 120,000 views and over 700 retweets.
Another fan, B, echoed A’s sentiments, saying, “Where can I report this? I was so frustrated that I couldn’t focus on the concert. I had reserved a seat in the second row, but it ended up being a complete waste. The view was completely obstructed.” Fans were also upset by the venue’s response to complaints, with A commenting, “I didn’t come to watch a movie, I came to see BLACKPINK! I couldn’t even see the hem of their outfits. When I complained, they just kept repeating that it was ‘clearly explained beforehand.'”

Others joined the conversation with similar complaints, leaving comments such as, “I was in N11, and as soon as I entered, I saw the screen and thought, ‘What was this setup?’” and “I was in the 7th row of N3, and it was so absurd. I had no idea there would be an obstruction, and now I’m wondering where I can file a complaint.”
Despite these frustrations, BLACKPINK‘s “DEADLINE” world tour continues to attract massive attention as it is set to travel to 16 cities across the globe, including Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, New York, Paris, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, Jakarta, Bulacan, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong, with 31 concerts scheduled to meet fans worldwide.
