BLACKPINK Wows 78,000 Fans on Day 2 in Goyang: But Is New Track “JUMP” Falling Flat?

Held on the evening of July 6 at the Goyang Sports Complex, “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR ‘DEADLINE’ IN GOYANG” marked the group’s return to the Korean stage after a 10-month break following their record-breaking BORN PINK tour.
The concert drew attention not only for BLACKPINK’s performances but also for its star-studded audience. BTS’s J-Hope was spotted among the crowd, alongside TWICE’s Nayeon and Jihyo, YG labelmates BABYMONSTER and TREASURE, and actors Jung Hae In and Jung Ho Yeon.

The group opened with explosive performances of “Kill This Love” and “Pink Venom,” before rolling into fan favorites like “How You Like That,” “Playing with Fire,” and “Shut Down.”
Each member then took center stage for individual performances:
- Jisoo performed “earthquake” and “Your Love” in a frilly pink dress, flanked by dancers in all white.
- Lisa exuded charisma with “New Woman” and “Rockstar,” complete with twerking and bold choreography involving male dancers.
- Jennie showcased her hip-hop flair with “Mantra,” “with the IE (way up),” and “like JENNIE.”
- Rosé delivered a heartfelt solo set, starting with a soft VCR entrance and culminating in “3AM,” “toxic till the end,” and “APT.”
Despite the high energy and production quality, the concert’s unreleased track “JUMP” drew criticism. Featuring whistle effects and brass layered over club-style beats reminiscent of the early 2000s, the song was intended to hype up the crowd. However, fans felt it failed to highlight the group’s strengths.

Some fans called it “fun and exciting,” but others voiced their disappointment online. One comment described it as “the only flaw in an otherwise perfect setlist,” questioning the decision to debut such a track after 2 years and 8 months of no group comebacks.
Other reactions included:
- “This better not be the title track.”
- “Their solo songs are way better.”
- “The choreography is a joke what were they thinking?”
During the show, Jennie encouraged audience participation, while Rosé joked about the overwhelming number of cameras. Jisoo introduced “JUMP” as a “song made for partying,” asking fans to jump and have fun with them.
In closing, Lisa shared, “I was nervous since yesterday, but I’m so happy to see everyone enjoying this with us.”

Jennie added, “Starting this tour in Korea is meaningful. I’m amazed by how packed the venue is. We’re leaving for our world tour now, but I hope we meet Korean fans again soon.”
The encore featured “JUMP” and fan favorite “Really,” with the night ending on a high note through a fiery performance of “BOOMBAYAH,” “DDU-DU-DU,” “As If It’s Your Last,” and “Forever Young.”
Following their BORN PINK tour, which drew 1.8 million fans, BLACKPINK’s “DEADLINE” tour will span 31 stadium-scale concerts across major cities including Los Angeles, Toronto, Paris, Milan, London, Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.
