BLACKPINK’s Jennie: “If I Wasn’t An Idol, I Would Love To Work With Animals Or Become A Designer”

On October 18th, a video titled “Jennie: The Kitten Interview” was published on the BuzzFeed Celeb YouTube channel. In the released video, Jennie can be seen being interviewed alongside cute kittens.
In the video, when asked about her songs she has on repeat recently, Jennie mentioned her new song “Mantra” and then added, “I love this song called “booboo” by Yaeji. It has a really cute dance to it that I really love. “Booboo” is my go-to song these days if not “Mantra””
Revealing that she’s currently working hard without rest, she said, “Hopefully after this album comes out I get to have some fun in my era.”

With the music video for “SOLO”, which was released in 2018, surpassing 1 billion views, Jennie was asked what has changed the most for her as a solo artist since then. She responded, “I’m playing more parts in the creatives and the making part of it.”
When asked what she might be doing if she hadn’t become an idol, Jennie joked, “An animal circus person?” showcasing her perfect chemistry with the cats. She elaborated, “I mean something to do with animals for sure. What a dream job to have, and I can watch them all day. I actually do watch a lot of zoo behind the scenes, and it seems like a lot of fun.”

Currently active as a global ambassador for two brands, when asked about her future goals in the fashion industry, Jennie said, “Maybe designing my own things, hopefully. It could be a fun, different thing that I haven’t done before.”
She added, “I’ve been eyeing on the Western style with cowboy hats and boots. I haven’t tried it out yet, but it’s something that I like.”
When asked which BLACKPINK song she would choose to put in a time capsule, Jennie picked “Whistle”, saying, “I love that song and I think it’s such a timeless song. It’s already been 8 years since the song came out and I still listen to it here and there.”
