Jennie shared the reason why she established a new agency and revealed her wish to release a full album in 2024
On January 2, Jennie became the first guest on Lee Hyori’s talk show, “The Seasons – Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet.” Here, both artists discussed music and Jennie’s upcoming plans.
Here, Jennie opened up about her decision to establish her new agency, ODD ATELIER, saying, “I founded the agency because I felt like I wanted to do group activities together (with BLACKPINK), but have more freedom and comfort in individual activities. I ended up working with some employees who have been with me for a long time”.
“I want to do well even if the path I take is a bit peculiar and different from others, so I named the agency ODD ATELIER”, the female idol also added.
In addition, Jennie also discussed YG Entertainment, calling it a company she has been with since her trainee days and where she learned a lot from.
Meanwhile, Lee Hyori congratulated Jennie for being free from the constraints of a management company. However, she also emphasized that stepping out of the “nest” was both familiar and required a lot of courage.
Later on, Jennie reveals that she wants to release a full solo album in 2024 and emphasizes her dream of global release. She hopes to return to music with high-quality content this year.
Notably, Lee Hyori asked Jennie about developing other artists in her new company. To this, Jennie expressed, “Honestly, I’ve never dreamed of such things. It’s truly exciting to establish this company and imagine things like that. But first, I will try my best to take good care of the artist named Jennie, and maybe there will be good events in the future.”
In response, Lee Hyori humorously shared that her contract with Antenna Entertainment would end in February and expressed her desire to join Jennie’s company. Jennie didn’t hesitate to respond, immediately saying, “Please contact me.”
