BLACKPINK’s Lisa Graces Billboard Global Cover, Reflects on Her Solo Career and Talks About Dating Rumor

BLACKPINK’s Lisa has further solidified her status as a global pop star, recently gracing the cover of Billboard’s Global issue. This achievement follows her success at the 2024 MTV European Music Awards, where she won 2 awards, as well as her first solo fan meeting tour, “Lisa Fan Meetup in Asia 2024”.
Lisa posted a photo of her Billboard cover on her personal SNS with the caption, “My first Billboard Global cover,” showcasing her widespread international popularity, with versions of the cover released in countries such as the US, Korea, Italy, Japan, Brazil, and Canada.

The cover shoot highlighted Lisa’s versatile charm, featuring a variety of outfits that showcased her unique aura, from a bold Diesel dress to a figure-flattering Christian Cowan black outfit, and a charismatic fur jacket. Her diverse appeal has been widely praised by global fans.
In her interview for Billboard, titled “Welcome to Lisa World,” Lisa spoke about her solo journey, revealing that while it was initially scary and nerve-wracking, it has since become an enjoyable experience. “The reactions from the fans heal me. It feels like they are saying, ‘You did a great job,’” she shared. As a rapper in BLACKPINK, Lisa explained that her solo activities give her the chance to show the world more of what she can do.

She also discussed BLACKPINK’s upcoming reunion in 2025, expressing that the group shares a deep bond. She emphasized their strong support for one another, mentioning how Jennie and Rosé have released their own songs, and they continue to stay connected through texts and video calls. “Of course, we want to do more, as BLACKPINK is such a significant part of our lives. We still aim to achieve so much more. But on the other hand, we also want to pursue something for our solo careers,” she said
Lisa also reflected on her personal growth, “We’re no longer rookies. I’m 27 and heading towards my 30s. Although I’m still young, I think I’ve become more flexible.”
As the owner of LLOUD, Lisa now navigates new responsibilities, including budgeting and expense reporting, which she admits has made her more frugal. “Working under YG, everything was handled for us, so I never really knew what was going on or how much we spent on music videos, photoshoots, or hotels. But now, I have a bit of insight into those things,” she shared.

According to Alice Kang, LLOUD’s Global Business Director, Lisa aspires to establish a strong presence in the U.S. music market. Despite being a smaller-scale operation with fewer than ten employees, LLOUD’s family-like environment offers Lisa more creative freedom, a change she seems to enjoy.
When asked about the “blue-eyed Frenchman” referenced in her track Moonlit Floor, Lisa coyly replied, “I didn’t write that song,” steering clear of the ongoing rumors linking her to Frédéric Arnault, the heir to LVMH. Her response was interpreted by many as a subtle way of deflecting speculation about their relationship.
Additionally, Lisa has confirmed her acting debut in the third season of the American drama “The White Lotus”, which will be released in 2025. This marks another exciting chapter in her expanding career. With her growing influence across multiple fields, Lisa continues to shine as an iconic global star.
