BLACKPINK’s Solo Domination Begins: Lisa, Jennie, and Rosé Prepare for Individual Comebacks

Last year, BLACKPINK signed a full-group contract with YG Entertainment (YG) but agreed to pursue solo activities individually. Since then, Jennie has established ‘ADOR Atelier’, Jisoo has established ‘Bliwink’, and Lisa has established ‘Loud’ and focused on solo activities.

In the midst of this, the members’ singing activities are becoming more visible. Recently, Lisa left the BGM ‘teaser’ and music stickers on her official global short-form mobile video platform TikTok account, and announced ‘COMING SOON’ on her official homepage. She also announced that new songs can be PRE-SAVE(pre-saved) on Spotify and Apple Music.
Earlier, Lisa announced in April that she had signed a new partnership with RCA Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music in the United States, and would be expanding her global activities. As RCA Records works with various global artists such as A$AP Rocky, Doja Cat, and Justin Timberlake, the news of Lisa’s joining has attracted attention from fans around the world and raised expectations for her progress as a global pop artist.
Lisa not only made her presence felt as the first female artist to sell about 750,000 copies in the first week of release through ‘Lalisa(Lalisa)’, but also achieved the feat of becoming the K-pop solo artist who stayed on the chart the longest through ‘Money(Money)’ and ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 and UK Singles Chart in the United States.

Jennie, who was the first to establish an independent label, has recently revealed her solo album plans through several interviews. He said, “I’ve been pouring almost all of my time into music lately. I’m working hard with the desire to share my music with more people and with even bolder ambitions. I’ll be back with a great look to meet your expectations,” he said confidently.
Jennie was the first artist to debut solo from BLACKPINK, and both ‘SOLO’ and ‘You & Me’ received positive responses. However, there are expectations and concerns about the solo song released on her own strength after leaving YG.
In February, Rosé revealed part of her self-composed song ‘Vampire Holly (working title)’ as a surprise through her personal account, saying, “I’ve been working hard every day to meet you again in a better way. I wanted to show up when I was perfect, but I wanted to share it because I was a little quiet lately, but today is my birthday.”

‘Vampire Holly (working title)’ is a song that Rosé has been working on since last year. Rosé only revealed a short 25-second section, but the charming Rosé’s vocals and dreamy atmosphere caught the eye.
Along with this, Rosé opened a personal announcement channel and recruited a personal fandom name, heralding a full-fledged solo comeback.
Meanwhile, Jisoo has been focusing on acting rather than singing activities after establishing her own label. She has recently confirmed her appearance in the movie ‘Omniscient Reader’s Point of View’ and the Coupang Play drama ‘Influenza’.
