SBS Launches New Boy Group Survival Show Hosted by i-dle’s Miyeon and Dex Ahead of “Boys Planet 2”

With Mnet’s Boys Planet set to return for its second season in July after a two-year hiatus, SBS has jumped into the idol survival fray with its own program titled B:MY BOYZ, set to premiere on June 14 at 5:20 PM KST.
The first teaser was released through SBS’s official website, social media platforms, and YouTube, offering a sneak peek of the show’s vibrant atmosphere and the participating trainees, dubbed B:GINNERs. Opening with a narration by MC Miyeon of (G)I-DLE, the teaser asks viewers, “This summer, who is your boy?” igniting curiosity about the upcoming contestants.

The preview features the B:GINNERs reacting to a live audience during their debut performance taping, with candid remarks like, “Wow, there’s already an audience?” and “It’s starting like this already?,” emphasizing the fresh, high-pressure format of the show.
B:MY BOYZ distinguishes itself with its unique concept: established top-tier idols personally selecting the next generation of boy group members. Alongside Miyeon, Dex will also serve as co-MC, promising a balance of professional insight and entertainment value.

The show’s teaser also highlighted Miyeon saying, “It’s time for the voices of these boys on stage to reach your hearts,” setting the emotional tone for the competition’s journey.
The second stage of the contest, featuring another performance round before a live audience, is also scheduled to take place on June 6, ahead of the broadcast premiere.
