Magazine “Singles” released an editor-in-chief interview video featuring Hyeri and Jung Soobin, the lead actresses of U+ Mobile TV’s original drama “Friendly Rivalry“, which premiered on Feb 10th.

Through their “Singles” pictorial, Hyeri and Jung Soobin showcased various stylish looks, exuding a chic and sophisticated vibe.

In the video, the two actresses answered questions prepared by the editor-in-chief and shared behind-the-scenes stories from the filming of “Friendly Rivalry”. They were first asked about memorable school memories. Hyeri wrote “dance club”, while Jung Soobin recalled dancing to Girl’s Day’s “Something”.

When Hyeri reacted in surprise “Do you mean you danced to that alluring song?”, Jung Soobin explained, “It’s not like I do a lot of things for fun, but I happen to have to dance for my seniors in the broadcasting class. There was a time when we had to perform ‘Something’.” She then danced a bit of the ‘Something’ choreography with Hyeri.

Next, they were asked about their first loves. Hyeri revealed, “My first love was a kid who was good at soccer and studious.” She added, “I didn’t actually say it, but I think it showed.” When the editor playfully asked “You didn’t dance in front of him, did you?”, she confidently replied “I did!”, making everyone laugh.

Jung Soobin, on the other hand, responded, “I’m still looking for mine.” She explained, “I think my first love is someone I can trust. Someone who is hard-working and responsible for their work, and can be trusted.” Hearing this, Hyeri playfully scolded her, “No, who is your first love? I wrote ‘A boy who is good at football’, but you’re just giving a generic answer!” Her frustration made the set burst into laughter.

They were then asked if they had ever experienced a friendly rivalry like in their drama. Jung Soobin reflected, “I feel like I experience it all the time in acting. The more I think ‘If I work hard, I’ll do better’, the more difficult it becomes. But when I share that experience with others, I grow even more. As an actress, I constantly face competition, but within that, I find opportunities to learn and improve.”

Hyeri shared a different perspective, “I don’t think I’ve ever considered anything in my life as competition. Whenever I take on something, I don’t see it as competing I see it as a process.” Her response highlighted her positive mindset.

Lastly, they were asked if they had any behind-the-scenes moments with their co-stars. Hyeri amusingly wrote, “Soobin kept making growling sounds from her stomach.” Jung Soobin explained, “Back in the day, there were times when I was eating, and I got nauseous due to indigestion, which led to trouble with filming. So, from then on, when I work, I eat after I get relaxed. It was hard to eat while I was working.” Hyeri said “But in the field, when I hear the noise, I get hungry!”, showcasing their close friendship.

Meanwhile, Hyeri, born in 1994, admitted to dating Tony An in March 2013 but broke up in November the same year. At the time, she was 18 years old. Later, she was in an eight-year public relationship with actor Ryu Jun-yeol, whom she met while filming “Reply 1988”, before breaking up last year.
