BTS, EXO, Song Kang, Lee Do Hyun and More to Complete Military Service in 2025

Starting with MONSTA X, K-pop stars such as EXO and BTS, as well as actors like Lee Do Hyun, Song Kang, and Hwang Min Hyun, are set to complete their military service this year.
MONSTA X members Kihyun and Hyungwon will be the first to complete their service on February 21 and May 13, respectively. Kihyun is currently serving in the 25th Infantry Division of the Army, while Hyungwon is in the Capital Mechanized Infantry Division.

Notably, MONSTA X will celebrate their 10th debut anniversary on May 14 this year. With Hyungwon’s discharge, the group will reunite as a full unit to commemorate this milestone together.
Kai, who began his alternative service as a public service worker in May 2023, will be discharged on February 10. Similarly, Sehun, who enlisted in December 2023 for public service, will complete his service on September 20. Once both have completed their duty, EXO will also end their military hiatus and resume full-group activities.

BTS’s military hiatus will conclude within June. Starting with Jin’s discharge in June last year, followed by J-Hope in October, the remaining five members are also set to return soon.
RM and V, who enlisted on December 11, 2023, will be discharged on June 10, while Jimin and Jungkook, who enlisted on December 12, will return on June 11. Suga, who began his alternative service as a public service worker in September 2023, will complete his duty on June 21.

Lee Do Hyun, who is publicly dating fellow actress Lim Ji-yeon, will be discharged on May 13. Kim Min Kyu, who gained global popularity through SBS’s “Business Proposal” in 2022, will complete his service on September 30. Meanwhile, Song Kang, who cemented his reputation as a “trusted actor” through Netflix’s “Sweet Home” series, will return from military service on October 1.

NCT’s Taeyong, who enlisted in the Navy in April last year and is currently serving as a cultural promotion soldier, will be discharged on December 14. Hwang Min Hyun, who enlisted as a public service worker in March last year, will complete his duty on December 20.
