On April 20, Coldplay posted rehearsal photos from their Seoul concert featuring Jin, capturing behind-the-scenes moments of “My Universe” and “The Astronaut”. The images, drenched in both rain and raw emotion, quickly went viral.

In the photos, Jin is seen wearing a raincoat, while Chris Martin fearlessly faces the storm in a soaked T-shirt, both deeply immersed in checking their stage synergy. One shot shows Chris affectionately placing an arm around Jin’s shoulders as they walk together, exuding warm, brotherly energy. Another shows Jin sweetly holding up a handmade sign for Chris — a moment that melted fans’ hearts.

The surprise moment happened during Coldplay’s third night in Korea, held at Goyang Stadium on April 19. During the fan interaction segment “Songbook,” Jin made a playful yet heartfelt request with a sign that read: “My bro, can I sing ‘The Astronaut’ with you? Pick me plz.”

Chris Martin, upon seeing Jin, immediately knelt before him in recognition, to which Jin responded by bowing deeply. The two then performed “The Astronaut” together, followed by “My Universe,” their 2021 hit that first brought the two global acts together.

“The Astronaut” holds special meaning, as it marks Jin’s solo debut — a song co-written and composed by Coldplay for him. While the rest of BTS appeared via holograms on the LED screen, Chris Martin didn’t hold back from expressing his love and respect for the group, especially those currently serving in the military.

Whether it was the thunderstorm or the thunderous applause, one thing’s certain: this reunion between Jin and Coldplay was unforgettable, showing that even the sky couldn’t hold back the love between artists and fans.
