BTS’ Jin Told Army Stories And Gifted 4000 ARMYs Purple Flower Bouquets At Fan Event After Discharge

BTS’ Jin held the event “Seokjin, Weather Sunny on June 13, 2024” at Jamsil Gymnasium in southern Seoul on June 13 to celebrate his discharge from the military and BTS’ anniversary. Amid cheers from fans, Jin appeared on his bike as if he had popped out of his solo music video, then opened the event with his first solo single “The Astronaut.”

After finishing the song, Jin did the official BTS’ greeting，“Greetings. 2, 3, Bangtan! Hello, I’m BTS Jin. I’m back at home that I missed so much. I feel like I debuted again because I was so nervous that I couldn’t sing well. My face was shaking, my hands were shaking. It was crazy.”

“I was discharged from the military yesterday. I didn’t sing for a year and a half, so I closed my eyes and did it because I thought I might not be able to if I hear your cheers,” Jin said. “Where are you guys? I really miss you. Calm down, my heart. Stop running.” Jin added, “I feel at ease because you’re cheering for me. I was shaking a lot. Check it out later because the camera captured everything.” As he moved closer to the audience, Jin said, “Yes, this was my life.”

In addition, he said, “I didn’t have time to prepare for singing after being discharged from the military yesterday. I forgot how to sing. It’s only been a day since I returned as a member of society,” but added, “Seeing ARMYs having fun, I feel that this is where I should be. This is my home.”

At the event, Jin unveiled for the first time the performance of “Super Tuna” that he released in 2021. He also hosted an eating show that made use of his signature content, EATJIN. Jin joked, “Many of you must be curious about how I’ve been doing while we were apart for a while, I’ve actually been to the military for now,” drawing laughter. He said, “I got along well with many friends in the military. They were all young people. Some of them were 12 years younger than me. When they joined the army, I told them, ‘Hey, what year were you born? You’re 12 years younger than me. Call me uncle.’ They even promised not to cry when I was discharged from the military, but they cried because I was sad,” he said.

He also explained why he held the event. Jin said, “The company asked me what I would like to do on June 13. Of course, I have to do this. I should be the one doing it because the members are not here. I told them that even if I can’t prepare in time, even if I start preparing on the day, I have to do it no matter what.” He expressed his affection for his fans and the group.

Fans left the concert hall holding purple bouquets in their arms. It was because Jin waited for them and presented bouquets to the fans who came to the event. ARMYs took photos of the flowers with a smile on their face.
