On June 11, BTS’s V warmed hearts as he shared personal snapshots celebrating his return to civilian life. Uploading to his private account, V gave fans a glimpse of a joyful reunion with his beloved “Wooga Squad”—Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-sik, and Peakboy. The group wore matching “Welcome Back” couple T-shirts, symbolizing their support for V’s return from military service. V added a simple yet touching message: “Thank you ♥.”
Just a day earlier, on June 10, V and fellow BTS member RM greeted fans after their discharge at the Sinbuk-eup Sports Park in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. The event drew attention from top global news agencies including CNN, AP, and Reuters, underlining BTS’s immense international influence.
In his message to fans, V reflected on his service, “The military was a time to strengthen both body and mind. I’m grateful to ARMYs who waited for me. If you wait just a bit longer, I’ll return with an amazing stage.” He continued, “I’ll strive to live as a good and admirable person in society,” showing deep gratitude and personal growth.
Right after his discharge, V held a livestream to reconnect with ARMYs. He shared the effort he made to look his best, “I wanted to look good for ARMYs, so I cut out carbs and woke up at 5 a.m. to work out and reduce bloating. It’s been a while, so I even ran in a winter coat to sweat it out.”
Before enlistment, V had promised to bulk up—and he delivered. “I weighed 61 kg when I enlisted. I reached 80 kg at one point and now I’m at 67 kg. I ate a lot and trained six days a week. That made me healthier, and I’m proud of that.”
With his discharge now complete, fans can look forward to V’s comeback and the artistic performances he has promised. The Wooga Squad reunion and heartfelt reflections mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter for BTS’s beloved vocalist.
