Background and Achievements
Shin Sun-jung joined BigHit Entertainment, the predecessor of HYBE, in 2010 and played a pivotal role in the creation and early success of global sensation BTS. As head of HYBE’s T&D (Training & Development) division and GM, she led initiatives to refine the rookie development system. Her work included selecting trainees and designing tailored training programs for each HYBE label. This system produced successful debuts, including BTS, Tomorrow X Together (TXT), ENHYPEN, LE SSERAFIM, and &TEAM.

Her contributions earned her recognition in the global music industry, including a spot on Billboard’s 40 Under 40 list in 2022, which highlights influential young leaders in music, and the Billboard Women in Music list in 2023, under the “Multi-Sector” category for her wide-ranging impact.
Future Expectations
With Shin’s appointment, BigHit Music aims to enhance sustainable growth and strengthen its competitive edge in the global music market. She is expected to stabilize and elevate the label’s operations while spearheading the expansion of new business ventures.
Leadership Transition

Outgoing CEO Shin Young-jae, who has led BigHit Music since 2020, will now focus on his role as the inaugural head of HYBE Music Group APAC.
