On July 12, videos titled “It’s finally here—Cha Eunwoo’s version of the ‘Soda Pop’ challenge!” began circulating across online communities. The clips were captured during Eunwoo’s solo fan meeting “THE ROYAL” at Kyunghee University’s Grand Peace Palace in Seoul.

In the footage, Cha Eunwoo appears in a dazzling uniform-inspired outfit. As the upbeat track “Soda Pop” plays, he flawlessly executes the song’s signature moves, then bashfully turns away with a smile—eliciting laughter and cheers from fans.

The dance is part of the viral craze surrounding Netflix’s animated film “KPop Demon Hunters”, which centers around K-pop idols secretly fighting off evil spirits. The film topped Netflix Korea’s movie chart following its June 20 release, with its original soundtrack even charting on Billboard’s Hot 100.

One standout detail: the lead character Jinu, the leader of the demon idol group Saja Boys, was modeled after Cha Eunwoo himself—adding to the significance of his challenge performance.

Fans reacted with joy: “Jinu is back!”, “How are his legs that long?”, “Never seen an Asian pull off that outfit so perfectly”, “This is the hardest I’ve laughed today”, “This is the original!”

Cha Eunwoo is scheduled to enlist in the military on July 28. Last month, he was officially listed among successful candidates for the Army Military Band. His fan meeting served as his final public schedule before beginning service, allowing him to share a special moment with fans.
