Cha Tae-hyun & Jo In-sung Launch New Agency Together: Real-Life Unexpected Business Duo

Actors Cha Tae-hyun and Jo In-sung, who won hearts with their chemistry in “Unexpected Business,” have teamed up in real life to launch a new talent agency.
After building a deep friendship over decades of working together in the entertainment industry, the duo has officially founded their own company aptly named Basecamp Company. The name symbolizes a strong foundation, like the basecamp needed for climbing a high mountain or embarking on a new expedition. Their goal is to be a reliable support system for actors and artists navigating their careers.

What makes this agency even more special is that it’s staffed by people who have worked with the two actors since their debuts or for at least 7–8 years demonstrating a foundation built on long-term trust and loyalty.
Cha Tae-hyun and Jo In-sung have shared a close bond for over 20 years. Their chemistry was especially beloved in tvN’s reality series “Unexpected Business,” which started in a small village supermarket in Hwacheon in 2021. Cha handled customer service with his signature friendliness, while Zo took charge of the kitchen and showed a warm rapport with visitors. Their dynamic led to the show returning for two more seasons, including a third season set in Marina City, California.

Many credit the success of “Unexpected Business” to the irreplaceable chemistry between the two leads, now affectionately nicknamed “CEO Bros.” Their real-life friendship has earned them a reputation as one of K-entertainment’s most genuine celebrity duos.
They also appeared together in Disney+’s hit 2024 drama “Moving,” and previously shared the same agency, SidusHQ.
As both actors remain active in their acting careers, attention is now on what kind of artists will join them under Basecamp Company and whether their journey as friends and business partners will lead to lasting success.
