On June 10, Chae Eun-jung shared the news of her upcoming marriage to a video director on August 31, following approximately one year of dating.

Through her personal social media account, Chae Eun-jung expressed her feelings about the marriage, stating, “This is my first time getting married, and it’s been far from easy with all sorts of unexpected incidents and accidents. I’m spending this once-in-a-lifetime period in the most vibrant and joyful way possible. Getting married at this stage of life feels strangely new, with many thoughts swirling in my mind. My impatient, bulldozer-like personality has caused my other half a lot of trouble, and I’m truly grateful and love him for it.”

She also shared a wedding dress fitting video created by her fiancé, writing, “We met at this café a year ago, recently celebrated our one-year anniversary, and are set to become an August bride. After searching far and wide for each other for so long, these two halves have finally found each other and promised to become one.”

However, this statement sparked controversy. Chae Eun-jung appeared as participant number 6 on Mnet’s couple-matching program Couple Palace 2, which aired in February. During the show, she revealed, “I’ve been on over 100 blind dates and registered with a marriage agency. I’ve even frozen my eggs because I want to have children,” showcasing her strong desire to marry. Yet, just four months after the show’s conclusion, she announced her marriage, stating she recently celebrated a one-year anniversary with her fiancé. Even accounting for the gap between filming and airing, the timeline overlaps, leading viewers to question the authenticity of her participation.

In response, Chae Eun-jung’s agency clarified, “At the time of filming, she had broken up with her boyfriend.”
